Steaming into the sunset...

Even though the sun went down several hours ago, it's hot!   Well, we're out steaming in the big lake again after four days of liberty in Jebel Ali, the stars are shining and there's hardly a wave out there.  Tonight they celebrated Cinco de Mayo on the aft mess decks with nachos, burritos, tamales and refried beans... ice-cream for dessert.  Outside they were wrapping up a RAS (refuel at sea) and the guys topside were preparing the flightdeck for tomorrow.

Our twelfth ballcap winner was selected over the inport and it turns out he's very familiar with Indy because he was a part of her first crew.

The flightdeck was active with maintenance, drills, and test getting it ready for flying tomorrow.  ABE Chad Bogart (below) from San Diego, CA said he was washing out the grab, which retracts the shuttle, on one of Indy's catapults.
