More About Us Weapons Department ensures timely procurement, storage, assembly and issue of all ordnance and explosives. All weapons evolutions are conducted in direct support of the commands mission tasking. Additionally, Weapons Department is responsible for the ship's Self Defense Force, as well as, QuickDraw response. The department is responsible for the efficient operation and maintenance of assigned magazines, sprinkler systems, weapons elevators and associated handling equipment. Weapons Chain of Command
